Day 2 – Amman- Jerash – Ajloun – Amman
After breakfast, start your journey in Jordan’s lively capital, Amman, a city that blends modern life with ancient history. Visit the hilltop Amman Citadel, home to Roman, Byzantine, and Umayyad ruins with panoramic views of the city. Nearby is the impressive Roman Theatre, a 2nd-century amphitheater still used for cultural events. Walk through the colorful markets and cafés of Rainbow Street, where families can enjoy street food, desserts, and local crafts.
Drive north to the ancient Roman city of Jerash, one of the best-preserved Roman cities outside Italy. Walk along the grand Hadrian’s Arch, explore the massive Oval Plaza, and stroll through colonnaded streets where chariot wheels once rolled. Continue to the forested hills of Ajloun to visit Ajloun Castle, a 12th-century Islamic fortress built during the time of Saladin to defend the region. The castle offers scenic views of northern Jordan. Return to Amman & Overnight.
