Day 4: Amman – Madaba – Mount Nebo – Bethany – Dead Sea
Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Madaba, home of the most famous Byzantine mosaics. Visit the greatest and most significant of all the city’s treasures, the wonderful mosaic map of ancient Palestine, which is located on the floor of the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George. Then Drive along the same route & stop at Mount Nebo, which dates back to the time of the Prophet Moses, around the 12th century BC & is believed to be the site of the Prophet’s burial place and the point from where he viewed the “Holy Land”. Continue to Bethany on the Jordan River, officially known as Baptism Site "Bethany Beyond the Jordan", is an archaeological World Heritage Site in Jordan, on the east bank of the Jordan River, reputed to be the location of the Baptism of Jesus by John the Baptist and venerated as such since at least the Byzantine period.
Then transfer to the Dead Sea; the lowest spot-on earth (417) meters below sea level. The uniqueness of the Dead Sea has been known for centuries.
